Solenne Lafeytaud joined L'Oréal Canada in January 2021 with strong expertise in corporate communications, marketing, sales and human resources.
A seasoned manager with more than 24 years of experience, Solenne had a distinguished career of nearly 17 years at SAP, where she held the position of Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications, SAP Industries and Customer Advisory, on a global basis, prior to her arrival at L'Oréal Canada.
She began her career at Nestlé in Paris in 1999 as a marketing manager, before joining TMP Worldwide, a firm specialized in talent acquisition, where she held the roles of account manager and international account director. In 2005, Solenne joined SAP as EMEA Director of Internal Communications in Paris. She then moved to Montreal in 2007 as Global Director of Internal Communications. She then took on key roles, including Chief of Staff in 2017, in which she advised numerous executives at SAP, and Global Vice President, Executive Communications SAP Industries in 2018.
Solenne quickly distinguished herself as Vice President, Chief Corporate Affairs & Engagement Officer of L'Oréal Canada and member of the Executive Committee, through her leadership, team spirit and intellectual rigor. She stands out for her leadership style, which is based on openness, transparency and dialogue.
Her current mission focuses on developing communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, building strong external relationships and strengthening employee engagement, thereby fostering emotional loyalty to L'Oréal Canada, both externally and internally.
Passionate, energetic, a good listener and a great people person, Solenne has always played a very active role in the community. She is the founder and president of Overcome Syngap1, a Canadian charity that supports families and raises funds to find a cure for a rare genetic disorder related to autism. She has organized and participated in several marathons in support of Overcome Syngap1.
Solenne holds an M.Sc. in Business Administration from the Business School of Lyon, France, which she obtained in 1999, an MBA from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia with honors in 2000 and a B.Sc. in Economics and English from the University of Paris at Nanterre in 1996.
